Couch to 5k has really helped my mental health so much in lockdown. It has kept me exercising 3 times a week which I never did before. Looking back on my improvements each week made me feel so proud of myself and finishing the programme was such a good feeling. I hope to continue on running and preparing for a 10K!

General approach to wellbeing

There are lots of different suggestions below to help you optimise your physical health around a busy schedule.  

Exercise

Exercise is vital to maintain both your physical and mental wellbeing.

 

At HEE-TV we have received positive feedback from trainees regarding training days that have incorporated an element of physical exercise, e.g. yoga. We are looking at ways to make this available more widely. 

Currently we are offering live yoga online- see below

PSWS Live Yoga & Pilates Sessions

Free for all trainees

Varied timings to suit your schedule

Option to sign-up with other members of your team

Sessions will run for eight weeks initially from the 29th March 2021 for Hatha Yoga sessions and 1st April 2021 for the Pilates sessions

Mondays 6.30-7.30pm Ashtanga Yoga 
Thursday 5.30-6.30pm Pilates
